Hello all!
I would like to bring to everyone's attention that we currently have
multiple openings for KM's here in Tampa. Our client will provide full
relocation and a competitive salary. Here is a brief description:
Our client is a global leader in providing industry-focused services for
public and private clients.
Our client develops and manages its knowledge assets development through
an array of industry and technical subject fields called Knowledge
Domains. The Knowledge Domain Manager is a leadership role assigned to
one or more Knowledge Domains. The position resides within Domain
Management, an operational unit of our client in Tampa, Florida. The
strategic vision of the KSO is to support our client's aspiration to be
the preeminent knowledge-based professional services firm.
Knowledge Domain Managers work across all Lines of Service within the
Firm and with leadership across the relevant industry or technical
Knowledge Domains. Primary responsibilities include managing the
knowledge assets assigned to the Knowledge Domain, and driving the
creation of new knowledge objects (white papers, position papers,
journal articles, research analyses, methodologies, analyst reports, and
other publication types) aligned with current client issues and the
annual knowledge management strategic plan.
The Knowledge Domain Manager leads the development of an annual "Domain
Knowledge Agenda", which is the strategic and tactical development plan
approved by the Firm businesses within the Knowledge Domain. The Domain
Manager facilitates and coordinates the identification of strategic
priorities that justify knowledge generation within the Knowledge
Domain. The Knowledge Domain Manager must be able to work closely with
the practice, Line of Service, regional leaders, and other KSO units to
understand and map current client issues, help Firm businesses win new
work, and measure the return on investment for the Firm's knowledge
assets. The Knowledge Domain Manager champions the authorship and
knowledge sharing culture within the Firm.
Key activities include:
Surveying/interviewing leadership, senior partners, Subject Matter
Experts, professional services related marketing, and other functions
where applicable to understand "top-of-mind" client issues requiring new
knowledge development;
Managing domain knowledge development projects and initiatives;
Creating and implementing work plans, while coordinating resources
across functions;
Defining and managing Domain economics in terms of research costs,
opportunity costs, and people costs; and
Developing and reporting selected Domain performance metrics.
A Knowledge Domain Manager is a self-starter, self-educator, keen
observer, and diplomat who actively identifies trends and emerging
issues within industries and markets that affect the Domain. The ideal
candidate will be an experienced practitioner in the Knowledge Domain
with a requisite level of market or industry subject-matter expertise.
This role will have primary reporting responsibility to the Cross-Domain
